French Railway Oak, Residential Project

sHere are some pics from a client who used our reclaimed 1950's French Railway Oak for flooring throughout their home. We sanded these boards down using three different grits (40, 80, 120). We had to plug the remaining nail holes and then use bow ties to help strengthen the boards for wear and longevity. The client opted to finish the boards at home, using a clear hard wax oil. This helps bring out the different tones in the boards and add warmth to the rooms in which they are situated. We can finish works inhouse using a range of techniques and finishes- please call for more advice.
